YOUR CAR MUST BE TECH INSPECTED BEFORE COMING TO THE TRACK!!GRID TECH IS NOT A TECH INSPECTIONPlease Read This Entire Page!Inspections are to be performed no more than 2 weeks prior to the event.Grid tech opens shortly after the track opens each morning. Please register and get to the grid tech line as quickly as possible after arriving at the track. Grid tech will close just prior to the drivers meeting (about 8 AM). Late arrival at grid tech could cause you to miss run groups so please be prompt. See you at the track…Think safety! Riesentöter Track Safety Advisory February 1, 2011 To All Riesentöter Driver Education Participants: This year, the RTR Exec and the members of the Driver Education Program "Track Council" have taken a hard look at our track safety program. As this is a "transition" year for track approved helmets, it seemed logical if not imperative that we address other driver/vehicle safety related issues. As we all know, Snell SA/MA2000 helmets have expired as of the end of 2010 following the release of the new Snell SA/MA2010 model. Riesentöter no longer allows the use of the earlier helmets. Beginning with our upcoming Driver's Ed event at Jefferson Circuit, only Snell 2005 & 2010 SA or M certified helmets will be accepted at our events. Any driver/passenger without an RTR approved Snell 2005/2010 SA or M helmet will be denied participation at RTR track events.
Further, the RTR Exec and the Track Council have mandated that as a confirmation of recent PCA National amendments, the following requirements and/or changes will be enforced at all RTR Driver Ed events:
The above requirements will be checked for all RTR Driver Ed events . Vehicles with installed 5 or 6 point harnesses are to be inspected for conformance to the above Requirement #5. The Owner/Driver of a vehicle found to have deficiencies related to the above detailed Harness System will be advised of the deficiency. Unless it is determined that "gross deficiency" exists that would compromise the safety of the driver/occupant, the vehicle will be allowed to participate in the event. However, beginning in 2007, all of the above requirements will be strictly enforced. Failure to comply will result in a denial of participation privileges.

Please note; The technical inspection is for your benefit. As a driver, you are responsible for the tech inspection of your vehicle. Your safety as well as that of your fellow drivers may depend on the quality and thoroughness of this inspection. Please emphasize this to your chosen inspector. Snell 2005 or better helmets are required. Fire Extinguishers are NOT required, but if installed, A 2.5 lb. or larger Halon fire extinguisher (Halon preferred) must be mounted metal-to-metal in your car with proper brackets (Highly recommended for white run group and higher.) Five or six point harnesses are Strongly Advised for black and red run groups.
