Autocross

Au·To·Cross (ô'to-krôs', -kros') n. - A form of motor sport that emphasizes safe, low-cost competition and active participation. An autocross is a timed competition where drivers navigate one at a time through a temporary course marked by traffic cones. Autocross tends to place more emphasis on car handling and driver skill than on sheer horsepower

If you are not sure if autocross (AX) is for you, then check out the video below – there is no safer, cheaper or more fun way to meet fellow RTR Porsche enthusiasts and learn to drive your Porsche at its limits.

If you liked the video, come and join us at one of our PCA Riesentoter Autocross events and you can be part of the action very easily without any additional expense or special equipment for your car.

The Autocross season runs from April to October and the there is typically one event scheduled each month.  Except for the once a year Planes and Porsches charity event that the Riesentoter Region organizes, all other events are organized by local PCA Regions and SCCA Solo organizations.

Each month, information and entry instructions on our events will be posted on the RTR website discussion forum which can be found at:  http://rtr.mywowbb.com/forum3/

When you arrive at an Autocross event:

The Autocross course will be setup on a large parking lot. Soft traffic pylons will be used to form a course consisting of turns, slaloms, and straight areas.

  • Remove all loose items from your car
  • Register yourself
  • Drive your car to Technical (Safety) Inspection
  • Walk the Autocross Course
  • Attend the Driver's Meeting

It’s that simple, now you are ready to compete against the clock and your fellow PCA members
