Autocross Gallery

Welcome to the fourth set of pictures for 2001. Although I take a number of pictures of the cars in the events, I usually select one (or two) of each car for the gallery. In addition, all pictures have been cropped, resized and compressed for web viewing. I do not use thumbnails in my galleries, but have adopted a scrapbook approach in which the images load fully on a page. Please note that any discoloration in car finishes is a result of the JPEG compression and not an indication of the finish itself.

I decided to focus on front views of turns for this session and was unable to pick up many of the numbers, so I have generally organized this week's galleries by car make or model.

If you can't find your car, please let me know. I try to get one of each car, but sorting through 500 files sometimes makes me miss something.

If you wish to work with a full file copy of your car's picture, just e-mail me at dsmahoney@aol.com and I will send you the files as attachments to the reply. A full file for the images seen in my gallerys averages 400K - 500K in size, so expect some longer then average download times. Multiple images (because of AOL's process) will be zipped as a single file.

When requesting pictures, please indicate the date of the event, your car's make, color and the number used in the event. Further, if there is some limitation on the size of attachments your mailbox will accept, please let me know.

My new picture above? After three years of taking pictures, I finally got a chance to try a course during the fun runs. Thanks go to Brian for his instructional advice and my wife, Berni, for the picture. Now the question is, what will I do on August 19th?
