Autocross Rules, Information
and Car Classifications

The purpose of Riesentöter Autocross is to challenge and improve driving skills in a fun, safe, controlled environment. Nothing needs to be changed or added to your car, but there are common sense safety procedures that must be followed. It is each driver's responsibility to heed and observe the following rules. If you are new to autocrossing, go to www.pca.org/autox/index.html for some excellent general information about autocrossing. This website will give you an overview of what to expect at your first autocross.

General

1. Each driver must wear an "M" or "SA" rated helmet carrying a 1995 or later Snell approval sticker. For those purchasing a new helmet, a 2000 "SA" rated is strongly recommended, but "M" is acceptable. SOME LOANER HELMETS ARE AVAILABLE FOR NEW DRIVERS.

2. Metal to metal seat belts, securely anchored are required.

3. Sneakers, tennis shoes or other tight fitting rubber soled shoes are recommended. High heels, and the like will not be allowed.

4. Roll bars are recommended for all open cars, but not mandatory.

5. On street-legal cars, tire and wheel combinations must be completely covered by the bodywork and have sufficient clearance to prevent rubbing that could be considered to be dangerous.

6. All cars must pass an on site safety inspection. All loose articles must be removed prior to the safety inspection. Tech inspection is the responsability of the driver. Late inspections are at the convenience of the tech inspectors and any car that has not been inspected will not be allowed to compete.

7. A driver may only enter one (1) car in an event.

8. A maximum of 2 drivers are allowed per car (one in run group 1 & and one in run group 2).

9. All rules are the same for novice, ladies and veterans.

12.Riesentöter Autocross is intended to benefit RTR/PCA members. If the number of cars registering for an event exceeds the event capacity, club members will be given priority registration and non-members will be turned down for registration.

13. For registration be sure to bring: Your Drivers License, your PCA card, know your car class and registration fee.

14. The event will take place Rain or Shine.

15. There is one Port-a Potty available.

CAR CLASSIFICATION

* Cars are placed into classes so that cars of approximately the same capabilities compete with each other. Club race people will find these classifications very samiliar.

* Proper clasification is the responsability of the entrant. Please review the classifications to determine what class your car will be in PRIOR to arriving and registration. This will speed up the registration process for everyone. However, the registrar will help you with proper car classification if you are uncertain of your class. Misclassification, higher or lower, can be protested. Results in increased performance will move the car into the next higher class. Deliberate cheating will not be accepted and dismissal from the event shall be at the discretion of the event chair person. WE STRIVE TO OPERATE IN A SELF AND PEER GOVERNING HONOR SYSTEM.

* PCA members are encouraged to drive their Porsches, howeverPorsches are not required.
